Warm Your Heart on a Cold Day

This sweet video was just what I needed today for inspiration and warm-fuzzies. Animation has come so far, borrowing techniques from cinema and doing the impossible on screen. I'm loving my classes this semester and I love watching a solid piece of art like Paperman. Enjoy and stay warm!

New Haircut!

I'd been feeling a little stuck in a rut. Romesick, Post-Grad Jitters... So I had a typical dramatic girl moment and cut off about 5 inches at Salon DM3 in Athens.

So refreshing. I love it!

Jerry Seinfeld. In Athens. Thursday. 

I'm so excited!

In anticipation, I've re-watched his web series "Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee". The 10-12 minute episodes are exactly as the title suggests: Jerry picks up a fellow comedian (Larry David, Alec Baldwin) in one of his numerous cars and they go get coffee somewhere in LA. You'll feel like a fly on the wall with some of the most brilliant minds in comedy.

Philadelphia

 There's just something about cities. The energy, the people, the stories... Ah, I love it. Before Christmas, I went to visit my roommate and other friends from Rome in Philadelphia. What a cool place. My friends live in the city. I'm talking skyscrapers outside the front door, on the subway line... It's awesome. They were awesome hosts and I think enjoyed being tourists in their own city. I certainly loved seeing them after seven months!

We took trains everyone, explored Old City, South Street and hit all the big tourist spots. As a big fan of America, I freaked out a bit at the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall but the food, art and time spent exploring with friends was incredible.
