I started blogging as a way to connect with my friends and family before spending a month in Tanzania in 2010. I loved getting to share my stories from across the world and the responses I received from readers who knew about my trip from the blog. I've kept working on LT&C ever since. It's changed in format and content, but then again... I've changed a lot since I was 19.

I grew up near Atlanta, Georgia. Both of my parents worked for an airline and traveling has always been a big part of my life. I spent four years at the University of Georgia in Athens, an amazing city to explore and live in. Through my sorority and campus, I made great friends and found myself in some awesome places. Others I could have done without. Live and learn. At the beginning of my junior year, I got antsy. The travel bug that had been around my entire life bit me harder than ever and I wanted new experiences and challenges. I decided to go to Rome, Italy for the spring semester of 2012. I spent four months living in the southern part of Rome, traveling Europe, and learning a lot.

I came home from Rome slightly depressed (who wouldn’t be?) but inspired to make traveling and writing more than a hobby. I completed two internships in tourism PR at the Cobb County CVB and Visit Athens, GA with the hope to pursue travel as a career. My classes in the Grady College of Journalism developed my interest in digital media, too. I’d love to combine it all.

After graduating from UGA in May 2013 and I’ve being doing a little bit of everything: production work, nannying, assisting with public relations and marketing for several different clients and, of course, traveling. I’m learning that this post-graduate life isn’t everything I thought it would be, but it can be so much more. Lions, Tigers & Clare has grown and will continue to grow with me. I sometimes find I share less about myself, but I know more about myself and I certainly don’t want this space to become a diary. I love you all more than that. Again, I'm so glad you've taken the time to enjoy the site. Leave me a comment if you wish.

All the best,
Clare / @clarecall
